Scary Berry Pie

Scary Berry Pie

Ingredients

PIE CRUST

2 & ½ C A.P. Flour

½ tsp Baking Powder

2 tsp Salt

1 C Butter (chilled and in cubes)

2 – 4 Tbl Ice Water

FILLING

4 C Berries (if frozen let thaw for a half hour)

2 Tbl Lemon juice

½ tsp Cinnamon

Pinch of salt

½ C Sugar

2 Tbl Corn Starch

Instructions

CRUST

Put top 3 ingredient in a food processor and blend. - Add in chilled butter (Earth Balance for dairy free) and process until it becomes a sandy texture. - Add in water a tablespoon at a time until it comes together.

Pour out onto a floured board and bring it together with your hands. Divide dough into 2 discs, wrap them in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for, at least, a half hour.

FILLING

When the dough is chilling, put all your filling ingredients in a bowl and mix.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Roll out dough and form into 9” pie tin.

Fill with filling and set aside.

Design the top crust to however you like!!

Place the top crust on your pie and put the pie onto a baking sheet for spillage in the oven.

Bake for 40 – 45 minutes.
